Ex-Top Gear hosts embark on a global adventure in the latest trailer for The Grand Tour, featuring tanks, camels, and exploration across four continents.

The much-anticipated third series of The Grand Tour, the Amazon vehicle for the ex-Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, is set to return on January 18, 2023. The first full-length trailer for the series has been released, promising an action-packed adventure that presents The Grand Tour as a cinematic version of Top Gear.

The trailer showcases the trio in various exotic locations, from deep blue seas and wild deserts to Egyptian relics. It also features a rainy, cold track somewhere in England, adding a touch of the familiar to the grandiose backdrops.

One of the highlights of the trailer is the appearance of James Corden, hosting a quiz with the trio while they drive a Corvette. The contest seems as entertaining as the usual banter between the hosts, promising a dose of humour to balance the high-octane action.

The vehicles featured in the trailer are as impressive as the locations. From high-end cars like the Alfa 4C Spider, LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Porsche 918, Aston Martin Vulcan, Ford Mustang, and MX-5, to more unusual modes of transport such as a tank, camel, jet skis, buggies, a broken arm, a crane, a shipwreck, and even a James Bond-esque Alfa 4C Spider reminiscent of Roger Moore's iconic Bond cars, the trailer promises a diverse range of vehicles for the hosts to test.

Clarkson fans will be particularly excited to see him stalling the Aston Martin Vulcan in the trailer, a moment that is sure to become a classic Grand Tour moment.

The production of The Grand Tour was filmed on four continents, ensuring a global appeal for the series. The trailer presents a grand spectacle, hinting at the scale and ambition of the production.

Initially, it was expected that The Grand Tour would return before Christmas, but it looks like viewers will have to wait until January to get their fix of the ex-Top Gear hosts' antics. The Grand Tour Series 3 will be previewed with a video trailer, giving fans a taste of what's to come.

Amazon paid a large sum of money to secure the services of the ex-Top Gear hosts, and it seems that the investment is paying off. The Grand Tour is being referred to as the 'Old New Top Gear', a testament to the enduring appeal of the trio.

The second series of The Grand Tour is also teased with a video, suggesting that fans will have a double dose of automotive entertainment to look forward to in the new year. The Grand Tour's third series promises to be an exciting ride, and with the first full-length trailer now available, fans can start counting down the days until its release.
