Fiery defense for Brian Austin Green's gay son from ex-fiancé Vanessa Marcil

Vanessa Marcil, 56, recently came to the defense of her ex-fiancé Brian Austin Green's gay son Kassius, 23, following a homophobic message from an online troll. In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Vanessa blasted the troll and repeated critics like 'bible thumpers' who condemn Kassius' sexuality as a 'sin.'

Kassius, who has ventured into acting and writing like his famous parents, is well-loved and respected by Vanessa. She praised him as "the most decent, forgiving, kind, educated, talented, free, committed," and "philanthropic." She also highlighted that Kassius "has actually studied the Bible and Judaism along with other religions, languages, cultures."

When questioned about parenting Kassius, Vanessa didn't share any direct words from Brian Austin Green. However, she noted that both Brian and her partner, MC Martin, have taken a stand for their son's rights.

Vanessa and Brian first crossed paths on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210 and started their romantic relationship in 1999. They welcomed Kassius before splitting in 2003. Since then, Brian has been married to Megan Fox and is currently engaged to Dancing With The Stars pro Sharna Burgess, with whom he shares a two-year-old son.

Brian spoke candidly about his unique experience of raising Kassius on the Frosted Tips podcast with Lance Bass, who is also gay. He discussed how he had initially found Kassius' sexuality as a 'challenge' but poured himself into educating himself and fostering an open, accepting environment for his son.

Lance praised Brian for his open-mindedness and called Kassius 'so lucky to be in your family.' He also acknowledged that many children don't get such support, even when their parents accept them.

Although Brian didn't share specific insights into his parenting strategy during the podcast, he emphasized that it's important to learn, understand, and accept differences when it comes to matters of sexuality.
