Ex-Deputy of Il Tumen Sustains Injuries After Being Implicated in Allegations of Sexual Misconduct at SVO
In a shocking turn of events, the Yakutsk City Court has sentenced former Il Tumen deputy and Lensk businessman Sergey Nikonov to 10 years in prison.
The sentence comes after Nikonov was found guilty of inflicting grave harm and sexual violence against 48-year-old entrepreneur Natalia Levova. According to the investigation, the incident occurred at the "Tygyn Darshan" hotel in Yakutsk.
The events unfolded on March 6, 2023, when Nikonov met a 50-year-old woman in the hotel bar. The woman reported that Nikonov forced her to perform non-traditional sexual acts and beat her unconscious. As a result, she sustained a left hand fracture, right hand ligament tear, and general bruises.
Following the incident, the woman called an ambulance and reported the matter to the police. Nikonov, who had left early the next morning to catch a flight to Lensk, was later apprehended.
Upon arrival in Nizhny Tagil, Nikonov reapplied and spent 10 days in the colony before leaving for Rostov to join a convicts unit. However, he was transferred back to the Nizhny Tagil colony from the Yakutsk SIZO after his conviction.
Despite the conviction, Nikonov intends to fight to restore his good name in court. He is currently receiving treatment in Nizhny Novgorod.
By law, receiving a state award does not exempt a prisoner from further contract service. Therefore, Nikonov's past achievements do not affect his current sentence.
It is important to note that the search results did not return any information about Nikonov's legal issues or medical treatment. Therefore, there is no publicly available detailed information regarding these matters.
This development marks a significant blow to Nikonov's political career and personal life, underscoring the importance of respect for the rights and safety of all individuals.
