Ex-"Avangard" President Sushinski may assume the role of General Manager at SKA
Off the Rumor Mill: Could Max Bring the Trophy to SKA Again?
Word's out that the SKA might be looking at Maxim Sushinsky to don the GM cap! According to Sport-Express, this veteran of the ice hockey realm could be the one steering the ship.
Known for his stint as the president of Omsk's HC "Avangard" from 2018 to 2020, and a whopping 9 years (1996-2000, 2001-2005) as a player for the Omsk club, Sushinsky's connection with Avangard runs deep. He even led the club to the Russian championship in 2004 and bagged the European Champions Cup in 2005!
If Sushinsky doesn't get the GM gig, looks like it'll be Igor Larionov, who took over the helm at SKA on June 2, 2025, stepping up to oversee the team's roster shaping. If Max doesn't take the helm, Larionov's the man!
Let's not forget that "Avangard" is just a stone's throw away from finalizing its goalie lineup. Who will be guarding the net? Keep your eyes peeled for more updates!
And if you want the latest on "Om1 Omsk," why not give them a peek or even place an ad? They've got all the buzz!
What about sports news regarding Maxim Sushinsky? Is he considering a return to hockey, perhaps in the NHL?
If Maxim Sushinsky doesn't get the GM position at SKA, we might see Igor Larionov shaping the team's roster for hockey, possibly including sports like ice hockey.
