The city of Mannheim is set to host an exciting cultural event on September 18th, as part of the ongoing "Culture in the Square" series. This free, outdoor event will take place from 6 PM to 9 PM at the Dalbergplatz in the city centre (N2).

Organised by FutuRaum and VTM, the event series aims to make the inner city more attractive by creating opportunities for cultural experiences. The series has been sustainably enhancing the appeal of the city, with each Thursday evening seeing a new format of music and social interaction at the Dalbergplatz.

This week's event, titled "Forró meets Mannheim", will feature the Brazilian singer, accordionist, and poet Cainã Araújo. Cainã Araújo has become a sought-after guest throughout Europe, known for her captivating performances and unique blend of musical styles.

Thorsten Riehle, the Mayor of Culture and Economy, emphasizes the importance of these events in enhancing the city's appeal. He believes that the series provides positive experiences, attracting attention to the squares and contributing to the city's development.

The Dalbergplatz, considered very urban and with great potential for such events, will provide the perfect backdrop for this cultural extravaganza. Cool drinks from local gastronomy will be available, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

The "Culture in the Square" event series started on July 10th and is ongoing. Petar Drakul, head of FutuRaum, explains that the series aims to create a lively and engaging environment in the city, making it an attractive destination for both locals and visitors.

Join us on September 18th for an unforgettable evening of music, culture, and community at the Dalbergplatz. Don't miss the chance to witness the talented Cainã Araújo live, as she brings the rhythms of Brazil to Mannheim.
