Tahoe Blue Event Center Equipped with Advanced AV Systems by Metinteractive and Mitsubishi Electric

The Tahoe Blue Event Center, located on the south shore of Lake Tahoe in Stateline, NV, is set to become the home of the Tahoe Knight Monsters ECHL professional minor league ice hockey team beginning with the 2024-25 season. The venue, which boasts a 4,200-seat arena that can accommodate up to 5,500 people for various events, has been equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual (AV) systems, LED displays, and scoring systems, thanks to a partnership between Metinteractive and Mitsubishi Electric.

Metinteractive, a company highly recommended by the Oak View Group for their past performance and capabilities, handled the AV installation despite budget sensitivities associated with a government project. The company supplied and installed AV systems throughout the building, IPTV distribution in public spaces, and digital signage content. They also provided the venue with broadcast replay, cable systems, and the main LED scoreboard, as well as a 360-degree ribbon board.

WJHW, the technical systems designers for The Tahoe Blue Event Center, developed the sound and AV systems for the venue. Scott Bray of WJHW was responsible for the sound and AV systems design, while Britt Morin developed the video production system design. The systems were designed to be flexible and futureproof, ensuring that the venue can accommodate a variety of events.

Rick Kozuback, president of International Coliseums Company (ICC) in Scottsdale, AZ, served as the owner's representative and project manager for the Tahoe Douglas Visitors Authority. Metinteractive was accommodating in helping set up and program the scoreboard before the first youth hockey event. They will continue to provide support for customized situations that may arise in the future.

The Tahoe Blue Event Center features more than 50,000 square feet of flexible meeting, convention, and exhibition space. Bill O'Malley, regional marketing director for the Oak View Group in Stateline, stated that the Tahoe Blue Event Center is a year-round destination. Oak View Group received training support from Metinteractive for the everyday usage of all equipment.

Despite limited public documentation on the identity of the AV systems provider for The Tahoe Blue Event Center and details about the key features of their installation, it is clear that the venue is well-equipped to host a variety of events, thanks to the partnership between Metinteractive, Mitsubishi Electric, and WJHW.
