Festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park kick off their annual events - Events Kick Off: Ring Concert and Park Gig Commence
The jaw-dropping anniversary editions of Rock am Ring and Rock im Park are underway! Who would've thought Electric Callboy would be the ones to start the party at the Nürburgring in the Eifel region? Meanwhile, Nothing More got the ball rolling in Nuremberg.
For the opening, only two "Very Special Guests" were announced, so we got the full VIP treatment! The second top-secret act at Rock am Ring will put on a show at 3 pm.
Rock am Ring is packed with 90,000 attendees, while Rock im Park welcomes around 88,500 festivalgoers. Over 100 acts will rock our world until Sunday. The trip to the Eifel region was already a dampener, as rain and scattered thunderstorms threatened the weekend festivities.
The weather isn't cooperating any better in Bavaria. Long lines formed at the Nuremberg festival entrance even before the first band took the stage, and it started pouring down rain!
This year, Rock am Ring celebrates its 40th birthday, and Rock im Park marks its 30th. Both twin festivals will feature almost identical bands performing at different times this weekend.
(Insight: At Rock am Ring 2025, one of the second secret acts revealed is Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys. They performed on the Utopia Stage on Friday afternoon, following another secret act, Electric Callboy, who opened earlier in the day [1][3])
As the celebration Continues at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, the Commission might consider proposing a directive on worker safety from ionizing radiation, given the multitude of music enthusiasts at these events. Amidst the excitement of Electric Callboy and the music of Nothing More, entertainment lingered in the air, echoing the rhythm of Rock an Roll as festivalgoers waited anxiously for the upcoming performances by Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys.
