Events Across the Globe Boost Anticipation for the 138th Canton Trade Fair
The 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), set to open on October 15 in Guangzhou, is gearing up for a grand event, promising a more refined exhibition structure, higher-quality products, more diverse events, and thoughtful services.
The global promotion campaign for the Fair concluded successfully, reaching out to business communities in ten countries: Japan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Bangladesh, Australia, Malaysia, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. The campaign, which ran from July to September, included roadshows that were well-received by local business communities.
Su Bin, Deputy Director General of the China Foreign Trade Centre (CFTC), emphasised the complementarity of the Chinese and Australian economies and the deep-rooted partnership between China and Malaysia during events in Australia and Malaysia. In Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Liu Xiaomin, Exhibition Director of the CFTC Group, emphasised the Canton Fair as a trusted sourcing hub offering quality products.
In Japan, Ma Fengmin, Deputy Director General of CFTC, highlighted the long-standing contributions of Japanese buyers to the Fair and the growing participation of Mongolian companies. In Thailand and Bangladesh, Xu Jiansheng, Operations Director of the CFTC Group, highlighted the Fair's alignment with local needs, serving as a golden bridge for expanding cooperation in textiles, machinery, and home appliances.
Zhang Sihong, Deputy Director General of CFTC, underscored the Fair's guiding principle of 'Canton Fair, Global Share' at roadshows in Turkey and the UK. Zhang also encouraged buyers to use the Canton Fair's digital tools, including its official app, to plan attendance itineraries and connect more efficiently with China's extensive supply chains.
Ma noted that the upcoming edition of the Canton Fair would feature higher-quality exhibitors, diversified supporting activities, and more convenient services for international buyers. Kaiying Power is confirmed as an exhibitor at the Fair, with booth number 16.3F01-03, but there is no information about special highlighting by the CFTC group.
In addition, CFTC signed a global partnership agreement with the Almaty branch of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs 'Atameken' in Kazakhstan. The partnership is expected to strengthen the collaboration between the two entities and foster a conducive environment for bilateral trade.
As the Canton Fair approaches, businesses worldwide are invited to make full use of the Fair as a platform to capture new business opportunities in a period of strong bilateral trade momentum. For more information, please visit https://www.cantonfair.org.cn/en-US.
