Event set for the Nuremberg Poetry Gathering
Nuremberg's Bardentreffen Kicks Off with a Silent Disco on Schütt Island
The city of Nuremberg, Germany, is gearing up for the annual Bardentreffen, a three-day free open-air music festival that attracts around 200,000 visitors. This year's event, running from Friday to Sunday, features over 90 concerts on nine stages across the city, showcasing a diverse range of international music genres.
One of the highlights of this year's festival is the Silent Disco event, which is taking place on Schütt Island today and tomorrow. This unique event invites everyone to immerse themselves in danceable music without the usual loud speakers. Instead, participants wear headphones that tune into one of several channels, each broadcasting a different genre of music.
The Lord Mayor of Nuremberg, Marcus König, is looking forward to the event, stating, "The Bardentreffen is a celebration of music and culture, and the Silent Disco is an innovative addition that adds to the city's immersion in a musical atmosphere."
The theme of this year's event is "Respect", encouraging attendees to enjoy the music and each other in a harmonious environment. The Silent Disco event is just one of the eight stages at the Bardentreffen, each offering a variety of music genres for visitors to enjoy.
Whether you're a fan of global beats, blues, folk, soul, pop, or a mix of traditional and progressive styles, the Bardentreffen has something for everyone. So, come down to Nuremberg and join in the fun! The Lord Mayor wishes a great time for everyone attending the event.
