REMIX 2019: A Vibrant Cultural Extravaganza at Hochschule Mainz
REMIX 2019, the second annual cultural festival at Hochschule Mainz, took place on the 1st and 2nd of March, 2019. The event was held on the campus premises and attracted enthusiastic participation from colleges across Delhi/NCR.
The festival was organised with the intention of bringing vibrance, cheerfulness, and extravaganza to the Okhla industrial area. REMIX is designed to engage people with a creative streak and build a community using Art and Design as a medium for self-expression.
The event featured several inter-collegiate events across music (solo, group, and bands), dance, photography, branding, nukkad-natak, and fashion.
On the music front, RE-PLAY, the Music Event, saw bands and solo artists performing, leaving the audience wanting more. The dance event at REMIX 2019 was called RE-VOLVE, where participants jammed it out to re-fashion dance while outperforming others.
In the realm of photography, participants in RE-DIRECT expressed and communicated an entire story through the medium of photography. The Fashion Show during RE-VERSE, the Fashion Event, showcased the talent of designers, models, and choreographers.
The budding actors, directors, and set designers showcased their talent during RE-ACT, the Theatre Event. The 3D Installation Event at REMIX 2019, known as RE-FORM, challenged designers to invent, experiment, and rethink space and material, and create an installation.
The Student Core Council of the institution, volunteers, the administration, and faculty played a crucial role in organising REMIX 2019. The Core Council members were applauded for their commendable work in organising the event.
REMIX 2019 reiterated the ethos of Hochschule Mainz and its student body - dynamism, design thinking, aesthetics, and competitive spirit. The festival provided a platform for budding artists from our institution and other colleges to showcase their talent and creativity.
LIVE performances were a part of REMIX 2019, entertaining the audience and adding to the festive atmosphere. REMIX 2019, with its variety of events, proved to be a successful and enjoyable cultural festival.
