Event Highlight: Bottrop's City Flimmer 2025 - Three Weekends of Outdoor Fun in the Yard

The fifth edition of the summer special "Stadtflimmern" is set to enchant audiences in Bottrop from August 29 to September 14. This cultural program, held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the courtyard of the cultural centre, promises a diverse lineup of performances, supported by the Egon Bremer Foundation, the Kulturstiftung der Sparkasse Bottrop, and the ELE.

On the second weekend, Teresa Reichl, a young and talented cabaret artist and author, will take centre stage with her program "bis jetzt" during the musical finale. Her performance is sure to be a captivating spectacle.

The grand finale will take place in the chamber concert hall, where pianist Andreas Langsch will open the event with his program "Der Lieblingsalgorithmus". Accompanied by the Emden band Plug & Play, Langsch's performance is bound to set the tone for an unforgettable evening.

For music enthusiasts, a special Music Quiz is scheduled for September 6, moderated by Tim Perkovic and the Goldmucke team. Questions about music from the 70s to the 2000s will be asked, promising a challenging and fun-filled evening. Tickets for the Music Quiz are priced at 12 Euro, while tickets for the events are available for 18 Euro (Music Quiz for 12 Euro) at the theater box office or online at Westticket.

On the same day, September 6, 2025, soprano Elisabeth Otzisk will perform a medley of popular opera classics with a string ensemble and choir. This performance is not to be missed for opera lovers.

The Trouble Notes will also perform during the musical finale, combining folklore with modern rhythms from rock and electronica. Their unique blend of music is sure to add a lively energy to the event.

On September 14, Johann von Bülow will read from "Loriot: Der ganz offene Brief" in the chamber concert hall. Glasblassing will also perform, showcasing how song repertoire sounds on empty bottles with "Happy Hour".

SLIXS will present Johann Sebastian Bach in contemporary vocal versions with their program "Quer Bach". Zucchini Sisters will provide musical entertainment with their swinging program "Tag am Meer".
