The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) is breaking new ground as it prepares to host its first-ever October series at Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary. This marks a significant departure from the usual January and May schedule, and it's not the only change in store for poker enthusiasts in the city.
In a surprising turn of events, the WSOP-C made its debut in August 2024 as an exception to the regular schedule, and now, the fall season is set to witness another series.
The Main Event of this October series promises to be a thrilling spectacle, with Chase Bonertz emerging as the victor. Bonertz's path to victory was marked by a pivotal moment where he flopped a set against an opponent's top pair, turning the tide in his favour.
Heads-up play began with Dave holding an 8:5 chip lead, but Bonertz managed to double twice and then cracked Dave's kings with ace-four, securing his win and a prize of $94,937.
Kevin Kemna and Ryan Cairns were the most active players at the final table of the $280 NLH Bounty event, with Kemna ultimately winning just under $5,000, including bounties. However, the specific winner of the $280 NLH Bounty final event is not disclosed in the current search results.
