In a series of incidents this week, Russian air defenses have successfully intercepted and destroyed a total of 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over various regions.

On Wednesday, the early hours saw three Ukrainian drones being neutralized over the Azov Sea, marking the beginning of these interceptions. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the shooting down of these UAVs, emphasizing the effectiveness of its air defense systems.

The following night, July 15 to 16, one Ukrainian drone was downed over the Belgorod region, and another was intercepted over the Kursk region. The Ministry of Defense made a statement regarding these incidents, but the exact timings remain unclear.

On July 16 to 17, three Ukrainian drones were shot down over Crimea, followed by four more drones being intercepted and destroyed over the same region the following night, July 17 to 18.

The incident over the Kursk region on July 17 to 18 resulted in another drone being downed, making a total of 38 drones intercepted in this region over the span of two days. This significant increase in interceptions highlights the continued targeting of these regions by Ukrainian drones.

The downed drones were all of the aircraft type, and it is confirmed that they were Ukrainian. The Russian Ministry of Defense has been reporting successful interceptions, underscoring the ongoing efforts to protect Russian territory from such incursions.
