Evening Concert at the Music School, Set for 25th September
On a thrilling evening of music, the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Gymnasium in Lünen City will play host to a vocal evening, organised by the Lünen City Music School, on September 25, 2025. This event, scheduled for 8 PM, promises an eclectic mix of music, featuring works from opera, sacred music, blues, jazz, and musicals.
The program, developed by the Music School itself, will see Monika Bergmann's singing class and the youth choir "Choirful" take centre stage. Accompanied by the talented Michael Kuhlmann on piano and Ullrich Gronemeyer on drums, the performers will treat audiences to a medley of popular and classic pieces.
Some of the highlights of the evening include "Dôme épais" from Léo Delibes' opera "Lakmé", "Hold Back the River" by James Bay and Iain Archer, and the timeless "Georgia on My Mind", popularized by Ray Charles. The performance of "Dôme épais" has been familiar to many through advertisements and films.
