EV Landshut's U15 Hockey Team Wins German Championship, Dziadek Siblings Shine at Special Olympics

EV Landshut's U15 ice hockey team has made history, winning the German championship and securing a place in the city's Golden Sports Book. Meanwhile, two local athletes, Sophie and Justin Dziadek, shone at the Special Olympics, bringing home multiple medals.

The U15 team's journey to victory was nothing short of remarkable. They lost to Cologne Junghaie but still clinched the championship due to a superior goal difference. Their path to glory included victories over formidable opponents like Augsburg EV, Dresden Ice Lions Juniors, Jungadler Mannheim, and Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the final tournament.

Tim Dietzinger was a standout player, topping the scoring charts with 14 points, including an impressive 11 assists. Maximilian Haak also made a significant impact, netting 15 goals. Between the pipes, Luis Spornraft was a wall, allowing only 7 goals throughout the tournament.

In parallel, the city's sporting prowess was further highlighted at the Special Olympics. Sophie Dziadek claimed gold over 333 meters and silver over 500 meters, while her brother Justin secured two silvers over 333 and 777 meters and a bronze over 500 meters. Their exceptional performances earned them both a place in the Golden Sports Book of Landshut, a testament to their dedication and skill. Mayor Alexander Putz commended the excellent youth development in the city's ice hockey scene.
