Confirmed Finalists for the Eurovision Song Contest - Eurovision Finalists Announced: Here's the List of Competing Artists and Their Entries
Five countries had to bow out of this year's Eurovision Song Contest semi-finals, causing a wave of disappointment among enthusiasts in Slovenia, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Belgium, and Cyprus. But the show must go on, and it certainly did! The evening was packed with electrifying performances that left viewers on the edge of their seats.
Slovenia may have missed out this time, but they were treated to a giant dragon soaring behind the Polish singer Justyna Steczkowska on a video screen. Norway's Kyle Alessandro set the stage ablaze with fire and knight's armor during his performance, while Belgian singer Red Sebastian captivated audiences by interacting with virtual doubles.
In the end, ten nations could celebrate their hard-won places in the grand final, including Ukraine, which has attempted every Eurovision Song Contest since its inception in 2003. This year, the band Ziferblat will represent them with the song "Bird of Pray". The stage is now set for sixteen finalists to compete on Saturday, and we've got the lowdown on them right here.
