The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is set to take place from May 13 to May 17 in Basel, Switzerland. The highly anticipated event has already generated significant buzz, with Sweden emerging as the clear favourite to win.

Sweden, currently holding six Eurovision victories, is poised to make history by clinching an eighth win. If successful, they would become the team with the most wins in the contest's history. Swedish pop icon Loreen, who won the contest for Sweden in 2023 with an original song, is expected to lead the charge this year.

According to entertainment betting sites, Sweden is heavily favoured to win Eurovision 2025 with odds of -110. Austria, with their entry 'Wasted Love' performed by artist JJ, follows closely behind with odds of +350. France and Israel are the only other two teams with odds under +1500 to win. France's entry is 'Maman,' sung by Louane, while Israeli singer Yuval Raphael will be representing Israel with the song 'New Day Will Rise.'

Austria, France, and Israel are not the only countries vying for the coveted title. Countries such as Albania, Estonia, Malta, Italy, Lithuania, San Marino, Switzerland, and the UK all have odds of 8000 to win Eurovision 2025. Finland has odds of 3300 to win, and the Netherlands has odds of 1600.

Interestingly, this year's Swedish entry is not Loreen but a comedy music group called KAJ, who will be representing Sweden with their song 'Bara Bada Bastu.'

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be live-streamed on various platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, BlueSky, Threads, Reddit, and WhatsApp. As the date approaches, fans from around the world will eagerly await the results to see if Sweden can indeed break the record and claim their eighth victory.
