Photography Exhibition: Anne Geddes' 'Until Now'

Art 28, Neues Kunstmuseum Tübingen in Germany is currently hosting the exhibition 'Anne Geddes: Until Now'. This showcase features 150 of the iconic images of Australian photographer Anne Geddes, including the beloved images of babies dressed as sunflowers and bumblebees, which were popular in cards, books, and calendars in the '90s and early '00s. The exhibition runs until 21 September.

Music Releases

  • British alt-rock band Wolf Alice is set to release their fourth studio album 'The Clearing' on 22 August.
  • Canadian folk musician Kathleen Edwards is returning with her sixth studio album 'Billionaire' on the same day.
  • Taylor Swift has announced her upcoming album titled "The Life of a Showgirl" with a release date of 3 October.

Television: Peacemaker's Second Season

James Gunn's TV series 'Peacemaker' is set to have a second season, premiering on 22 August on Sky Max and NOW. The series follows Christopher Smith (John Cena), a special-trained operative who will do anything - and kill anyone - in his quest for peace. Expect to see cameos from other DC characters, including Superman and Hawkgirl.

Cinema: Julia Ducournau's 'Alpha'

Julia Ducournau's new body horror film 'Alpha' is set to arrive in French cinemas on 20 August, and in English cinemas in October 2025, according to the latest announcements. The film, which is divisive with critics so far, is a continuation of Ducournau's exploration of the grotesque and the human body.

Exhibitions: 'Saved Treasures of Gaza' and 'Between Sleeping and Waking: Hospital Dreams and Visions

The Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, France, is hosting the exhibition "Saved Treasures of Gaza" which documents over 5,000 years of Gaza's cultural and archeological history, and runs until 2 November 2025.

There is also an ongoing exhibition titled "Between Sleeping and Waking: Hospital Dreams and Visions" at Bethlem Museum of the Mind in London, UK, that explores patient's dreams and nightmares.

Literature: Jane Austen's House Celebrates 250th Birthday

Jane Austen's House is hosting "Austenmania!" to celebrate the 250th birthday of the author until 4 January 2026.
