Oh, and let's not forget about the travel destinations and specialized campsites hawking their services. Last year, approximately 254,000 attendees trotted into this camping extravaganza.
The Sleek and Portable Caravan Craze
Peeking into the organizers' tent, a rep commented, "Visitors can anticipate rather stable prices for new caravans and motorhomes." In recent years, there's been a hype for lighter, more portable caravans, making them compatible with electric vehicles. "Comfort and connectivity are ongoing evolutions in caravans." In the motorhome realm, a fresh batch of fuel-efficient base vehicles with advanced assistance systems is surfacing. "All-wheel drive is also making strides."
Germans seem to adore travel by motorhome, with approximately 52,700 new motorhomes registered from January to July this year - a whopping 9.8% increase over the previous year, according to the Caravaning Industry Association (CIVD). On the flip side, new caravan registrations dipped by 1.1% to around 15,000. The CIVD is the brilliant sponsor for this ten-day campout.
