Dinos Conquer Hannover - Eight-Meter-Tall T-Rex Included - Europe's Largest Dinosaur Exhibition Roars to Life in Hanover

Europe's largest dinosaur exhibition is set to open in Hanover on Thursday, January 19, 2023. The event will take over the city's exhibition hall with life-sized prehistoric creatures and immersive displays. Organisers hope to attract 100,000 visitors before it closes on April 2, 2023.

The centrepiece of the show is an eight-metre-tall Tyrannosaurus rex, towering over more than 50 other colossal dinosaurs. Some of these models are designed to be touched, letting visitors get up close. Dramatic light and sound effects will fill the 12,000-square-metre space, creating an atmospheric experience.

A new underwater section has been added, featuring ancient marine creatures alongside the land-based giants. The exhibition has already proven popular, drawing over 250,000 visitors in previous stops at Dortmund, Vienna, and Friedrichshafen. Advance ticket sales for Hanover have surpassed 25,000 even before opening day. Children are often the most enthusiastic experts at such events. The organisers have tailored parts of the experience to engage younger visitors, encouraging them to explore like real palaeontologists.

The exhibition runs until April 2, giving families and dinosaur fans weeks to visit. With its mix of interactive displays, towering replicas, and underwater additions, it promises a spectacle unlike any other in the region. Tickets remain available for those who haven't yet booked in advance.
