The Bremen Police have announced a comprehensive security plan for the highly anticipated football match between SV Werder Bremen and SC Freiburg at the Weserstadion on September 20, 2025, which coincides with the game's 3:30 PM start.

According to the Bremen Police, who transmitted the information via news aktuell, the event organiser expects the stadium to be sold out. Due to this, fans are advised to plan their travel routes accordingly.

Short-term road closures by the police due to operational measures in the stadium area and throughout the city center are possible. Additionally, a fan march from the market square to the Weser Stadium may cause disruptions to individual and public transportation.

The Osterdeich will be closed to individual traffic between Sielwall and Stader Straße approximately two and a half hours before and about an hour after the game. Fans are encouraged to avoid leaving valuable items in vehicles during football matches, as there is an increased risk of car break-ins in the vicinity of such events.

Parking near the stadium will not be available, and significant traffic disruptions are expected on both directions of the A1 motorway due to ongoing construction work on the Weser Bridge.

For further inquiries, fans can contact the Press Office of the Bremen Police at 0421 361-12114. The contact person for this matter is Nils Matthiesen.

Fans are encouraged to enjoy the match safely and responsibly, and the Bremen Police assure that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure a secure and enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees.
