European Parliament Endorses Resolution on EU's Global Role

The Himmel un Aääd community center in Schildgen is set to host a diverse range of events throughout August 2025, offering something for everyone. From music performances to talks, workshops, and discussions, the center promises an engaging and enriching month.

Kicking off the month is Ulla Krah (vocals) and Sebastian Konietzki (guitar) with their Latin Music Across South America performance on the 6th of August at 19:00. On the 1st, Billy Odenthal, a well-known guitar teacher from Schildgen, will give a talk at Himmel un Aääd titled "Billy Odenthal Guest at Himmel un Aääd - Talk on the Sofa".

The Rhine Fairy Tale Circle will host an evening titled "Cunning and Humor in Fairy Tales" on the 3rd of August at 18:00. For those interested in music, Freylechs band will perform Klezmer sounds as part of Culture Summer 2025 at Himmel un Aääd on the 23rd of August at 19:30, and again on the 26th of August at 19:00.

Silke Aichhorn, one of the world's most renowned solo harpists, will perform a cabaret reading with music titled "The Quirky Life of a Harpist" on the 26th of September at 19:30.

In addition to these performances, Schildgen associations and initiatives will present themselves at Himmel un Aääd for networking and promoting shared interests on the 30th of August from 11:00-17:00. This event, titled "We are all Schildgen - Our Associations and Initiatives", will take place at the Citizens' Center.

For those who enjoy engaging in discussions, the English Conversation Club with Malcolm Shuttleworth is scheduled for the 24th, 11th, 18th & 25th August. A Doppelkopf and Game Evening in cooperation with Spielbaustelle e.V. will take place on the 21st of August at 8:00 PM.

Cornelia Schwöppe, chairwoman of Verein LiebevollICH e.V., will discuss human dignity with Billy Odenthal on the 3rd of September. On the 13th of August at 7:30 PM, Cornelia will deliver an impulse lecture on human dignity titled "Dignity is Not a Luxury - It's Everything".

For those seeking IT consultation, Peter Hoever & colleagues will be available on the 21st of August. Knitting Meetings with Silva Berger are scheduled for the 12th & 14th August.

The Doko evening and FairSuchen discussion evening are also part of the August schedule.
