European leaders and Zelenskiy express optimism about a nearer end to the conflict in Ukraine following their discussions with Trump

The video conference, organised by Germany, took place on Wednesday and was held indirectly. The purpose of the conference was to unite Europeans, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the U.S. President, with a focus on coordinating Western positions on Ukraine and Russia ahead of the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska on Friday.

The conference involved unspecified participants, and was exclusive to registered users. Due to the high demand, the system allowed a maximum of three active sessions at a time. Unfortunately, some users were unable to join the conference as the session limit was reached, resulting in the closure of the oldest session to enable users to continue browsing without restrictions.

Rosaliá Sánchez, a correspondent in Berlin, reported that the conference was held in just 24 hours. The discussions centred around key geopolitical issues, emphasising Ukraine's security, the need for a ceasefire, and the importance of strong sanctions against Russia to put pressure on it. The aim was to present a united front on Ukraine and European security before the bilateral talks between Trump and Putin.

Users are encouraged to subscribe to avoid such limitations and gain access to premium content. Those who are subscribers were able to participate in the conference, with the added benefit of premium content access being provided by the establishment they were at. Users who were unable to join the conference are advised to try again later.
