This win comes just a day after a third-place finish in the all-around. The 18-year-old from Schmiden raked in an impressive 30.650 points, leaving the second-place Meital Maayan Sumkin from Israel in the dust by a full 1.1 points. Taisiia Onofritschuk from Ukraine took the bronze with 29.500 points.
But the afternoon didn't go all rosy for the German squad. Anastasia Simakova from Schmiden took home silver in the ball final with a respectable 28.700 points, just behind the Bulgarian Stiliana Nikolova (29.800).
The hoop final saw Nikolova victorious again, with Varfolomeev finishing a disappointing fifth. EM debutant Lada Pusch from Schmiden ended her debut with a seventh-place finish in the clubs final, also claimed by Nikolova. The Bulgarian gymnast crowned her EM performance with a total of three titles and a second-place in the all-around.
