Europe Leads Ryder Cup 2025 8.5-3.5, Needs 6 More Points to Retain Trophy

The Ryder Cup 2025 is underway, with Europe leading 8.5 to 3.5 after two days. Europe needs just 6 more points to retain the trophy. The competition has seen impressive performances from both seasoned and rookie players.

The first two days have witnessed high-quality golf. Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay have been a successful pairing for the US team, winning both their matches together.

Jon Rahm and Sepp Straka also won their Friday four-ball match and will team up again in the second four-ball session. Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler, who has struggled in previous Ryder Cups, is guaranteed to play in all five sessions for the US team. Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose won their Friday match together.

Bryson DeChambeau and Cameron Young secured a victory in their Saturday morning foursomes match. Notably, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, and Max Homa, who played in all five matches at the 2023 Ryder Cup, will do so again in 2025.

With all 24 players set to compete in the final singles session on Sunday, the stage is set for an exciting climax to the Ryder Cup 2025. Europe is within reach of retaining the trophy, but the US team is not out of the race yet.
