"Europe, You're Barking Up the Wrong Tree" Trump: No Need for European Involvement in Iran Conflict
Europe lacks the ability to intervene in the Iran conflict, according to Trump's statement.
Got a bone to pick with ol' Donnie? He ain't got no time for Euro-meddling in the heated battle between Iran and Israel.
According to the Prez, Iran ain't hankerin' for chats with Europe no more. They want us, the Yanks, at the table. Europe can't help, Trump bluntly stated when asked if recent EU talks with Tehran had been fruitful. Now, we got the U.S. and Iran exchanging some communication, but Trump's lips are sealed on the details. Rumor has it that Steve Witkoff, Trump's special envoy, is hobnobbin' with the Iranians [1].
Enter the foreign ministers of Germany, France, and the UK, along with Kaja Kallas, the EU's High Representative. They met with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghtschi, in Geneva last Friday, bent on jumpstarting a diplomatic solution.Too little, too late, says Trump. He ain't got no kind words for this initiative.
Iran's push for a ceasefire before negotiations? Trump thinks that's a tall order for Israel, who's currently "winning" this war against Iran [1]. Two weeks ago, Trump announced a two-week deadline for deciding on U.S. military intervention in the conflict. Now, he's edgier, saying two weeks is the absolute max [1].
Then, there's the matter of Iran's nuclear program. Trump ain't buyin' the peaceful propaganda. If you believe that U.S. intelligence's assessment of Iran not building a nuclear bomb, then, well, you're dead wrong, Trump said, straight up callin' out Tulsi Gabbard, former Director of National Intelligence. Gabbard testified in Congress that the intelligence community had assessed Iran wasn't building a nuke since 2003. Trump ain't buying it [2].

In light of President Trump's stance, the European Union's engagement in the Iran-Israel conflict seems futile, considering Trump's dismissal of recent EU talks with Tehran as unproductive. Furthermore, the ongoing dispute between the U.S. and Iran about their respective positions in war-and-conflicts is a political matter that seems to transcend general-news, with Trump expressing skepticism towards Iran's pursuit of a ceasefire and nuclear disarmament.
