Europe, guided by a Ryder Cup strategist, has reportedly pulled out all the stops for their New York appearance

In the lead-up to this year's Ryder Cup, Team Europe, under the guidance of captain Luke Trump and vice-captain Luke Donald, is demonstrating an unprecedented level of preparation. Trump, who has been part of the Ryder Cup Advisory Committee since 2019 and captained Europe to victory in 2014 at Gleneagles, has revealed that this year's team is the most prepared he has ever encountered.

This enhanced preparation was evident even before the successful Rome match. Team Europe has taken advantage of unique opportunities, such as setting up their own gyms equipped with specific equipment at Bethpage Black, the venue for the Ryder Cup. The players have been familiarised with their locker room, clubhouse, and hotel at the course to minimise any potential distractions.

The team's physios have gone the extra mile, with a trip last week and an additional five days of preparation. Sepp Straka, who missed the BMW PGA Championship due to the premature birth of his child, has been in New York longer than the other Team Europe players, preparing for the Ryder Cup 2025 at Bethpage.

The focus for Team Europe is on the players' ability to perform under pressure and in a hostile environment, with the US crowd expected to be particularly rowdy. To mentally prepare for this, Donald has been working with the team for the past 18 months. Trump, in his role as Strategic Adviser to captain Luke Donald, has stated that more money is being invested in the team's preparation than ever before.

The Ryder Cup will be broadcast exclusively live on Sky Sports and NOW from Friday, 26 September. This year's event holds significant importance for Team Europe, as they chase a first away win since 2012 in the Ryder Cup. Europe triumphed over the USA by a score of 16/11 in the 2023 Ryder Cup, a testament to their meticulous preparation.

The 2025 Ryder Cup will take place at Bethpage in New York next week, marking the first time Team Europe has spent two and a half days together in advance of an away match. With their unwavering focus, extensive Ryder Cup winning experience, and meticulous preparation, Team Europe is poised to make history.
