Tuta joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Brazil's FC São Paulo in early 2019 and made 187 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals. Frankfurt's sporting director, Markus Krösche, acknowledged Tuta's major role in the team's success and development during his tenure, expressing well wishes upon his departure. Under FIFA’s solidarity mechanism, São Paulo, Tuta's former club where he developed as a youth player, will receive about 3% (€450,000) of the transfer fee as compensation for their role in his development.
