EuroCup Women 2025/26: Saarlouis Royals qualify for group stage

The Saarlouis Royals, one of the two German teams participating in the EuroCup Women 2025/26, have been exempt from the qualification round and directly nominated by FIBA Europe for the group phase of the competition.

A total of 49 teams from across Europe have registered for the EuroCup Women 2025/26, with five more teams joining from the EuroLeague Women qualification round. The Saarlouis Royals, known for their success in the previous basketball season as runners-up, are among the 48 seeded teams and will bypass the qualification stage.

The Rutronik Stars Keltern is the other German team competing in the EuroCup Women 2025/26, adding more excitement to the international basketball event. The Saarlouis Royals, who are also the German Cup winners, are looking forward to another international highlight from the Saarland.

The date for the beginning of the regular season of the EuroCup Women 2025/26 is set for October 8 and 9, 2025. However, the location of the Saarlouis Royals' first game has not been decided yet and will be determined at the official group draw on July 23, 2025, in Munich. The group draw for the Saarland Royals will take place on October 9, 2025, also in Munich.

Twelve teams will compete in a qualification round for the EuroCup Women 2025/26, which will take place on September 18 and 19, 2025. The qualification round will serve as the final opportunity for teams to secure a spot in the main competition.
