At the ripe age of 91, this exceptional artist went to sleep forever, his passing confirmed by family upon request. He departed from this world on a Friday night in a Pforzheim retirement home.
Despite being surrounded by gifted goldsmiths in his hometown, Ruhl stood out as an unparalleled craftsman in his rare trade. In an unexpected twist of fate, Ruhl found love late in life, marrying Dietlinde Hess, former and long-standing chairwoman of the Dillweißenstein Citizens' Association, in the summer of 2021.
