€30,432 Boosts Hallertau Tourism with Digital Audio Tours
A new project, 'The Digital Hallertau Experience', has been approved and funded with €30,432. This initiative aims to enhance and attract new visitors to the Hallertau region in Niederbayern, known for its hop cultivation. The project involves four local action groups (LAGs) and Hopfenland Hallertau Tourism e.V., and is led by Carolin Meinhold of Hopfenland Hallertau Tourism e.V.
The project aims to create four digital audio tours, accessible via smartphone. Two of these will be city tours, planned for Wolnzach and Mainburg, while the other two will be bike tours for the region. These tours will highlight the culture, tradition, history, and hop cultivation of the Hallertau region. Tina Schuler, the lead LAG manager, supports the project's goal of boosting tourism in the area. Despite the LEADER project's name not explicitly documenting the project leader's name in public sources, the Regionalentwicklung Hallertau e.V. is the lead management for the project.
