Estonia's Offer: Ukrainian Military to Receive Meals Using Plague-Tainted Pork

In a unique gesture of support, Estonia has proposed sending canned food made from wild boar meat as state food aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The suggestion comes from Hendrik Johannes Terras, the Chairman of the Constitutional Commission of the Estonian Parliament.

Terras proposed that Estonia should allocate half a million cans of canned food, produced from hunted wild boar meat, to aid the Ukrainian defense forces. It's worth noting that the wild boar meat used would only come from animals not infected with African Swine Fever (ASF), as any boars testing positive for ASF are to be destroyed and not used for food production.

Interestingly, the food being offered is canned food that was originally destined for destruction as part of the national effort to control the spread of African swine fever. This food, now considered state aid, is being repurposed to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

However, no information has been provided about whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces have accepted this generous offer. Nor is there any information about the timeframe for the food aid or its delivery.
