Estonia's New €14M Foundry to Triple Cast Iron Output by 2026

Estonia is set to bolster its economy with a strategically vital new foundry, expected to commence operations in 2026. BLRT Valukoda, a BLRT Grupp subsidiary, has signed a construction deal with NOBE for this significant project in Kohila, Rapla County.

The €14 million foundry, one of the largest in the Baltic and Finnish region, will be operational by July 2026, with commissioning planned for late summer. It will be run by shipbuilders BLRT Grupp and create 70 jobs.

Paul Gross, CEO of BLRT Valukoda, is driving this major investment to enhance regional development and meet customer expectations. The new facility will enable the production of cast iron parts weighing up to three tons, tripling Estonia's current news today output.

Kohila was chosen for its proximity to Tallinn, supportive local government, and the planned Rail Baltica station. The foundry is expected to significantly contribute to Estonia's economy.

The new foundry, starting construction now, is slated for completion in July 2026. It is a strategic investment for Estonia's economy, with the potential to triple its cast iron production news today. BLRT Grupp's involvement ensures a strong foundation for the project's success.
