In the heart of Düsseldorf, Germany, the SFD'75 sports club recently celebrated its 46th anniversary at the sports facility in Niederheid. The event, which gathered members, friends, and notable figures, was expertly moderated by Piet Keusen and Lutz Grünwald.

The origins of SFD'75 can be traced back to 1975 when the club was formed by the merger of Tura Holthausen, SC Reisholz, and parts of the former works sports group of the Henkel company. Over the years, SFD'75 has grown into one of the largest sports clubs in Düsseldorf, thanks to the unwavering commitment of its team, trainers, and volunteers.

The club offers a diverse range of sports, including judo, chess, athletics, and more. During the summer holidays, SFD provides sports courses for children and adults, with details available on their official website.

One of the highlights of the anniversary celebration was the SFD Challenge, where participants could collect stamps at various sports activities and receive a reward at the info stand. The event was filled with excitement as everyone, including children, took part in activities such as handball throwing speed, beach volleyball, Zumba, and chess lessons.

The surf simulator and the climbing wall of the sports action bus were popular attractions among the children, while the devil's bar attracted many participants. Cooled drinks, a cake and grill selection, and sunscreen were available for refreshments, making the perfect setting for the summer weather.

The gymnastics group performed dance and acrobatics, and the performances of the sports groups, including the judokas, were well-received. The celebration was honoured by the presence of several notable figures, including Mayor Hinkel, City Director Hintzsche, Dr. Stephan Keller, and Joachim Bergers.

A special moment came when Mayor Keller presented a birthday check to the managing directors, Fabian Reismann and Dr. Michael Görlach. The event was made possible due to the generous donation of the Niederheid sports park by the Henkel company on its 100th anniversary.
