Sports Festival SFD'75 Celebrates 100th Anniversary in Perfect Summer Weather

On a sunny day in July, the sports club SFD'75, originally known as "Verein für Sport und Freizeit von 1975 Düsseldorf-Süd", celebrated its 100th anniversary at the sports facility in Niederheid. The event was attended by notable figures such as Mayor Hinkel, City Director Hintzsche, Dr. Stephan Keller, and Joachim Bergers, Vice President of the City Sports Association.

The festival offered a variety of activities for visitors to try out, including handball throwing speed, beach volleyball, Zumba, chess lessons, and more. The devil's bar and surf simulator were popular attractions for both children and adults, while balance training on the surfboard and the climbing wall of the sports action bus provided height challenges.

The gymnastics group captivated the audience with dance and acrobatics, and the performances of the sports groups, such as judo, gymnastics, and theraband training, were well-received. Refreshments were available in the form of cooled drinks and a cake and grill selection.

Visitors could collect stamps at each sport they participated in and receive a reward at the info stand. The motto of SFD'75 is "Sports For You".

SFD'75 was founded in 1975 through the merger of Tura Holthausen, SC Reisholz, and parts of the former company sports group of Henkel. On its 100th anniversary, Henkel donated the Niederheid sports park to SFD'75. The club offers a variety of sports, including judo, chess, and athletics, as well as rehabilitation and senior sports.

SFD'75 also cooperates with seven movement kindergartens. Piet Keusen and Lutz Grünwald moderated the festival, ensuring a well-informed program and sports activities.

Opportunities for attending SFD's events are available, such as the "Summer Special" during the summer holidays. Many sports courses are offered specifically during the summer holidays by SFD. For more information, visit the club's official website at www.sfd75.de.

For detailed and up-to-date information on SFD'75, I recommend visiting their official website or contacting the club directly for the most accurate insights into their history, current sports programs, and operational status.

At the SFD'75 Sports Festival, visitors could enjoy a variety of sports activities, including football as a part of the celebration, paying homage to the club's history that originated from the merger of Tura Holthausen, SC Reisholz, and parts of Henkel in 1975. The festival also showcased different European-leagues, with the Premier League possibly being one of them, as SFD'75 cooperates with various sports and offers a wide range of activities.
