In the heart of Nashville's music scene, the Christian music community is coming together to support one of their own. On August 9, 2025, the "Big Beautiful Bruce Brown Benefit" will take place, a community effort organised by True Tunes and friends of Bruce Brown, a renowned music journalist battling myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
The event, symbolising support and resilience, will feature both live and pre-recorded performances, showcasing the talent of over two dozen artists, including Phil Keaggy, Russ Taff, Jimmy A, Bob Bennett, The Choir, Eddie DeGarmo, Rob Frazier, Dan Haseltine, Glenn Kaiser, Phil Madeira, Kevin Max, Charlie Peacock, Dave Perkins, River & Rail, Mike Roe, Chris Taylor, Ojo Taylor, Terry Taylor, Michelle Lynn Thompson, and The Throes.
Special non-musical appearances will be made by Amy Grant and other industry friends. Notable CCM industry figures and journalists such as John Styll, Kathy Ervin, Darrell Harris, Chris Hauser, Mark Hollingsworth, and Thom Granger will also appear.
The event will be hosted by John J. Thompson, who will take on the role of "ringmaster".
