ESPN Allegedly Suggested Jason Kelce to Choose Monday Night Football Wager
In the build-up to Monday night's playoff game, two ESPN pundits made predictions about the performance of Matthew Stafford, the quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams.
Jason Kelce, a member of the Monday Night Countdown crew on ESPN, stated that he was asked to make a prediction by Scott Van Pelt. Kelce mentioned that he has Stafford 2+ touchdowns on the Monday playbook. He added that he doesn't like picking touchdowns but thinks Stafford will perform well.
Ryan Clark, another ESPN pundit, also made a prediction for Monday night's game. Clark joked that his pick was not influenced by anyone else, but he believes in it. Ryan Clark suggested that Kyren Williams, a running back for the Rams, might have 80+ rushing yards.
The Rams went on to win the game against the Vikings, with Stafford scoring two touchdowns, playing a key role in the team's victory.
However, not everyone was pleased with the practice of making predictions ahead of sports competitions. Some online users expressed criticism, with one user, Ben Grieser, arguing that such predictions should be banned, especially when made by non-gamblers. Grieser suggested that predictions might be influenced by sportsbooks.
Despite the controversy, the Monday Night Countdown crew continued to make prop bets ahead of the playoff game, adding an extra layer of excitement to the viewing experience for many fans.
