After making a daring escape from its enclosure on April 3, Doubao, a round rodent famously known as a water pig, spent two months evading captors. While Doubao's companions, Bazong and Duoduo, received a warm welcome back at the Yangzhou Zhuyuwan Scenic Area in Jiangsu Province, China, Doubao remained a fugitive.

The escape took place as Doubao, Bazong, and Duoduo collectively rammed through a wooden panel[1][3]. Despite their mischievous actions, Doubao managed to stay on the run for two months. During this time, Doubao not only managed to elude its captors but also gained weight and boasted a smooth, glossy coat[4].

Capybaras, native to South America, have gained immense popularity in recent years, thanks to their adorable appearance. It's not unusual to spot these internet sensations at zoos around the world or adorned on various merchandise items, ranging from plush toys to notepads.

Outbreaks of Doubao, the water pig, may occur more frequently in China now that one has successfully evaded capture for two months, indicating it has adapted well to the wild. In light of this daring escape and its growing popularity in the sports and merchandise world, considering introducing Doubao to the sports scene could attract more interest and help bring awareness to this unique species.
