Escapades from Iran, Coffee Altercation, Actors' Spats: Notable Incidents Involving Nikita Kologrivy's Life
Hang out with Russian Actor Nikita Kologrivy, Famous from "Word of a Guy", as He Makes Dramatic Escape from Iran to Azerbaijan
Russian actor, Nikita Kologrivy, recognized for his role in the series "Word of a Guy", has made headlines with an unexpected escape from Iran to Azerbaijan. According to Azerbaijani television channel CBC TV, Kologrivy was among the evacuees who left the turbulent region.
CBC TV announced the news through their Telegram channel, stating, "Joining the list of evacuees from Iran to Azerbaijan is actor Nikita Kologrivy." It appears that Kologrivy was among the Russians evacuated from the Middle East conflict zone.
Previously, the press service of the Russian embassy in Azerbaijan reported on the safe evacuation of a second Russian citizen from the dangerous zone. Local authorities facilitated the transportation of evacuees and provided temporary accommodation in a hotel. Listed among the rescued were director Fyodor Bondarchuk and his accompanying group of actors.
Unruly Behavior in a Novosibirsk Café
Kologrivy's exit from Iran wasn't his only controversial event – back in spring 2024, he stirred up trouble at a café in Novosibirsk. After reportedly getting drunk, Kologrivy acted aggressively toward a waitress when she rejected his inappropriate advances. He went on to bite a staff member and destroy items in the restaurant, causing a scene.
The police intervened, arresting Kologrivy at his hotel before he could catch his flight to Moscow. The waitress who had been bitten was rushed to a hospital for treatment and examination.
Kologrivy Drops Out of the "Dovlatov" Gala Concert
After his Novosibirsk escapade, Kologrivy was removed from the performer roster for the gala concert "Dovlatov." According to Mash, his manager contacted the organizers and requested his removal. Following the incident, Kologrivoy decided to not make any public appearances, recognizing that avoiding controversy would be impossible.
Spats with Fellow Actors
In a podcast, Kologrivy shared his thoughts on acting education, comparing an actor with no formal training to a marriage without love. He also pointed the finger at actress Alexandra Bortich, criticizing her as an example of unprofessionalism in the industry.
Bortich quickly fired back, posting a photo of herself wearing a balaclava and a clown smiley on her social media, which fans interpreted as a response to Kologrivoy's comments. Later, Bortich posted a message questioning the criticism she received, emphasizing that she values her acting education and acknowledges that she is far from a genius. She also asserted that she doesn't discuss her colleagues' work or projects unless she genuinely dislikes them.
When addressing his colleague Danila Kozlovsky's work in the film "Dukhless," Kologrivoy expressed doubts about Kozlovsky's performance, suggesting it didn't require much skill. Interestingly, Kologrivoy previously stated that Kozlovsky's career was worth emulating.
Criticizing the Series "Slovo Patsana"
During an interview, Kologrivoy criticized the series "Slovo Patsana. Krov' na Asfal'te," claiming that he was the only actor with genuine knowledge of street kid culture in the 80s and 90s. He argued that his less experienced co-stars, including Ivan Yanukovsky, were evidently not familiar with the dangerous lifestyle they depicted in the series.
Kologrivy also touched upon other actors whose work went unnoticed due to the series' popularity, naming Rustam Minnekayev and "Lev," but remained vague about who exactly he meant. Kologrivy was critical of their acting, claiming that it failed to make an impact worthy of an "Oscar."
Philip Yankovskii, the father of Ivan Yankovskii and a People's Artist, spoke humorously about the collective nature of film production at the premiere of the series "Precious," challenging Kologrivy's opinion. Kologrivy's comments also raised the ire of journalist Otar Kushanashvili, who described him as "thick-witted, narrow-minded, and foolish."
Leonid Yarmolnik, in an interview, criticized Kologrivy, referring to him as a fool and suggesting he abandon acting if he didn't appreciate the talent of such actors as Smoktunovskii and Abdullov.
Disagreements with the Rap Industry
Kologrivy has also expressed dissatisfaction with contemporary music, particularly the work of rapper Big Baby Tape. In a podcast, he compared the literary heritage of renowned Russian poets and writers with the current state of lyrics in music, expressing disappointment at the decline in quality and vocabulary.
Big Baby Tape responded to the criticism by sharing an excerpt from the podcast in his profile, along with laughing emojis. The rapper advised his followers to disregard "moralizing opinions" and simply enjoy the art. Also, he put forth a rhetorical question about how one could transition from the work of Tarkovsky and Soviet cinematic classics to the series "Word of a Guy."
Sparring with Alexander Gordon
During his appearance on the "Closed Show" with Alexander Gordon, Kologrivy engaged in a dispute with the TV host. The discussion about the film "Partners" resulted in a disagreement between Gordon and Kologrivy, as Gordon suggested Kologrivy shorten his criticisms. Kologrivy objected to this and the argument escalated, eventually leading to Kologrivy storming out of the studio.
