A technician named Sunil, who was removing an advertisement board without safety equipment, fell through a fragile ceiling on the fourth floor. Another visitor, Chandru, who tried to rescue Sunil, also fell and died in the accident.
The incident has led to the building manager, Sridhar, being arrested for negligence. The mall, which houses over 30 stores, is now under scrutiny for safety and maintenance lapses.
