In the city of Zaporizhzhia, the aftermath of Russia's drone assault has left a grim picture. The number of injured civilians has climbed to a heart-wrenching 31.

The Regional Military Administration's head, Ivan Fedorov, paints a grim picture, stating that the Russians purposefully targeted civilian infrastructure. Damage was reported in residential buildings, a university, and an essential infrastructure facility. Originally, the injury count stood at 29, but later reports revealed two more critically injured individuals – a man and a woman. Four others were in serious condition, while 24 received treatment and will recuperate at home.

Further updates from Fedorov disclosed that two children were among the injured. The number of hospitalized increased to seven people.

On May 1st, Russian occupation forces unleashed at least 10 strikes on Zaporizhzhia, sparking several fires. Initial reports suggested 14 people were wounded, with 10 men and four women injured. Nine required hospitalization, while five received immediate medical aid.

Regarding the extent of the damage, residential areas appear to have taken a significant hit, with at least 27 apartment buildings and over 10 one-family homes sustaining damage. A civilian locomotive repair plant, crucial for maintaining Ukraine's rail operations, was also destroyed. Educational institutions were targetted, causing disruptions in local services.

Consequently, the attack caused serious damage to residential and critical infrastructure, disrupting daily life and negatively impacting the city.
