In a significant move to prevent acts of violence and gather more insights, the police in Bremen conducted raids on suspected members of the neo-Nazi and right-wing extremist group, "weserems.aktion," in August 2025. The raids, which targeted five homes, were part of an ongoing investigation.

The suspects, aged between 19 and 30, have been under monitoring by security authorities for some time, as reported by the Bremen Office for the Protection of the Constitution. The group is known for its extremist ideologies and has been classified as right-wing extremist by this office.

During the raids, law enforcement officers secured a variety of items, including data carriers, knives, machetes, daggers, knuckledusters, telescopic batons, and propaganda material. A knuckleduster was found in the possession of a 22-year-old suspect, who is also accused of damaging a Left party office.

The raids also revealed that two banners from in front of the Green party office were stolen, according to the police. The stolen banners were subsequently published on the internet.

The purpose of the raids was not only to secure evidence but also to prevent acts of violence. The investigators assume that the violent right-wing extremist scene in Bremen and the surrounding area is well networked.

In addition to the charges for property damage, further investigations and the evaluation of seized data carriers are ongoing, as reported by the police. The investigators have filed additional charges for politically motivated crimes, including the damage to several vehicles.

The police have clarified several politically motivated crimes linked to this group. The raids on "weserems.aktion" members are a significant step towards maintaining peace and security in Bremen. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
