Eppingen's football team faces off against GU-Türk.

In the upcoming Verbandsliga Baden match this Saturday at 3:15 PM, VfB Eppingen will face off against the German Union-Turkish SV Pforzheim. Both teams have been making waves in the league, and this game promises to be an exciting encounter.

VfB Eppingen's coach, David Pfeiffer, is keen to take control of the game, aiming to have possession and not solely rely on counterattacks. This strategy is in response to SV Pforzheim's strong defensive display, which has seen them concede only six goals so far this season.

Pfeiffer has also highlighted the strength of SV Pforzheim's attack, with the additions of Ernesto de Santis and Nikolaos Dobros. Both players joined Pforzheim from FC Nöttingen this summer and have been instrumental in the team's success, scoring seven of the 16 goals for the GU-Türk. SV Pforzheim currently sits only ahead of 1. FC Mühlhausen due to a better goal difference.

VfB Eppingen, on the other hand, will be boosted by the return of Elias Feljauer, who has recovered from a muscle injury in his thigh and has been training fully all week. This provides Pfeiffer with another offensive option as they look to challenge SV Pforzheim's defense.

SV Pforzheim made a strong impact as a newcomer in the previous season, both in terms of their squad and their final ranking. They hope that the additions of de Santis and Dobros will help them secure promotion this season.

Coach Pfeiffer has emphasized the importance of compactness to his team, stressing that they must not give SV Pforzheim any space, especially up front due to their individual quality. Training sessions have been tailored to address this issue, with a focus on team cohesion and defensive discipline.

Meanwhile, Alexander Rudenko made his starting lineup debut for VfB Eppingen in the Verbandsliga this season but had to be substituted due to a muscle fiber tear in his hamstring. His return to full fitness will be a welcome boost for the Eppingen side.

This promises to be a closely fought match between two teams with contrasting styles. With both sides eager to secure a win, fans can expect an exciting and unpredictable game.
