Enthusiasts continue to express admiration for Lisa of BLACKPINK's performance at Global Citizen and her unveiling of an unpreleased track titled 'Moonlit Floor'.

Lisa, a member of the globally acclaimed K-Pop group BLACKPINK, made her first solo festival performance at the prestigious Global Citizen music festival held on Central Park's Great Lawn on June 29, 2025. The event, filled with excitement and anticipation, saw Lisa take the stage with an electrifying display that left fans in awe.

Lisa's setlist included fan favourites such as "Rockstar," "New Woman," "Lalisa," and "Money." However, it was the performance of her unreleased track, "Moonlit Floor," that truly captivated the audience. The track, set to release on Oct. 3, samples Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me," and showcased a new musical direction for Lisa.

The performance of "New Woman" included a unique dance break where Lisa used chairs to fill Rosalía's verse, adding a touch of innovation to the already captivating performance.

However, the performance was met with mixed reactions. While many fans praised Lisa's energy and the fun atmosphere of her set, some criticised her for lip-syncing during the performance. K-Pop journalist Isabella Salant, however, attributed possible lip-syncing issues to the rain, camera lag, and live streaming conditions. Salant found Lisa's performance to be energetic and fun, standing out among the rest.

Despite the criticism, Lisa's performance was the talk of the town on social media, with many people in attendance claiming that they had travelled from far and wide to see the K-Pop sensation. Mary Padiernos travelled from New Jersey specifically to see Lisa's performance, while Angel Polito made the trip from Long Island for the festival, with Lisa's performance being a defining factor.

Some fans arrived early to secure a spot up-close, with many getting drenched in a downpour. Despite the weather, their enthusiasm remained undeterred, with fans seen hugging their ponchos closely while screaming, "We're here for Lisa!" throughout the performance.

Audrey Reynolds, a K-Pop fan, was amazed by Lisa's energy and screamed and danced throughout the performance. Reynolds expressed her excitement for Lisa's future work and her continued support for the artist.

Polito, who had bought the festival tickets before Lisa's performance was announced, had initially held out hope that Jin from BTS would be a special guest. However, it was Ed Sheeran who joined Coldplay as their guest singer instead.

Despite the controversy surrounding her lip-syncing, Lisa's performance at the Global Citizen Festival was a memorable one, showcasing her undeniable talent and charisma. With her upcoming track "Moonlit Floor" set to release in October, fans are eagerly waiting to see what Lisa has in store for them next.

In the midst of the Global Citizen Music Festival, Lisa's performance captured the attention of many, particularly during her rendition of the unreleased track "Moonlit Floor". The blend of her own musical direction and a sample from Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me" resulted in a captivating performance that had fans eager for her next move in pop-culture. Despite the critical reviews about lip-syncing, Lisa's energetic and innovative display, including a unique chair dance for "New Woman", made the event memorable among entertainment provided by celebrities and K-Pop musicians alike.
