A Night of Austropop: "Auf a Wort" Performs at Schmidmuehlen Castle Barn
The Austrian band "Auf a Wort" recently captivated audiences at the castle barn in Schmidmuehlen with a memorable performance that spanned the best of Austropop.
Known for their dedication to covering the iconic Austrian band STS (Steinbäcker, Timischl, Schiffkowitz), "Auf a Wort" delivered a set list that included popular songs like "Es lebe der Zentralfriedhof", "Strada del Sole", "I am from Austria", "Kalt und Kälter", "Irgendwann bleib i dann dort", "Großvater", and "Ich wül ham nach Fürstenfeld". They also paid tribute to other Austropop giants like Ambros, Danzer, Cornelius, and Fendrich.
The band, consisting of Mathias Rasch, Peter Schuster, Chris Huber, Martin Zunhammer, Robert Ertl, and Bernhard Schmied, masterfully conveyed the essence of these beloved songs, providing a nostalgic yet faithful homage to the original material.
