The Thierhaupten Riding Club is excited to announce its latest offering - a unique and playful equestrian event called Hobby-Horsing. This new sport, which has gained popularity among young people, particularly in Finland, involves children and teenagers performing dressage and jumping routines on their hobby-horses, a toy horse typically made of a stick with a horse's head attached.

The Hobby-Horsing tournament, sponsored by Michael Boehler from S&B Automotive-Engineering, provides a fun, inclusive environment where participants can enjoy horse-related activities without the need for a real horse. The event, which was the club's first for this new kids' sport, emphasizes creativity, athleticism, and imagination.

Steuerzahlerpräsident Rolf von Hohenhau was the patron of the tournament, and the equipment for the jumping test was provided by the company Reitsport Paule. Prize items were also provided by Reitsport Paule to celebrate the winners.

The tournament included various categories and classes for different age groups and skill levels, allowing competitors to showcase their routines and compete for awards. It's not an easy sport, with maintaining body posture and movement before and over obstacles, changing gaits, and other aspects being crucial.

Hobby-Horsing mimics equestrian elements from dressage or show jumping, offering a unique twist on traditional horseback riding. The event also highlights the riding club’s commitment to promoting equestrian culture in diverse and creative ways.

Readers are encouraged to check their inbox or spam folder to confirm their subscription for updates on the tournament and other summer outing tips around Augsburg, such as Emma's "Eisbar" (Ice Bar). For more specific details such as the schedule, exact rules, or recent winners, those would generally be available from the Thierhaupten Riding Club’s announcements or local event postings.

We are excited to bring this new, playful equestrian experience to the community and look forward to seeing the creativity and passion that the participants will bring to the tournament.
