Enjoying Quality Brews and Capturing Moments (with Snaps to Boot)
Last Tuesday, 82Mercer played host to an exciting event that brought together over 30 breweries and 30 food makers for a night of culinary and beer indulgence. This gathering was made possible by a roster of esteemed sponsors, including The Good Beer Seal, Brooklyn Brewery, Stella Artois, Whole Foods Market, New York Cider Week, Perrier, and Verterra.
Food enthusiasts were treated to a diverse array of dishes, with Quinn Popcorn dishing out their popular Vermont maple and sea salt popcorn. Mile End Delicatessen served up chicken gizzard and lamb bacon kebab, while Luke's Lobster offered mini Maine shrimp rolls. Almond added a touch of spice with their spicy avocado soup paired with pickled squid.
The event also catered to those with a taste for spirits, coffee, ginger beer, and ginger ale, in addition to beer. Blue Point Brewing Company's White IPA and Lagunitas Brewing Company's Little Sumpin' Sumpin' were among the beers served.
Behind the scenes, the event was planned and executed by Michaela Johnson, a person known for her meticulous attention to detail and love for making lists. Her affinity for perfection extends to her pie crusts, and she even has a history of smuggling goat cheese into college cafeterias.
