Sizzling Summer Climate in Full Swing - Enjoyable, warm seasons grace us in summer
Searing Summer Weekend Ahead!
A heads-up for all! The coming weekend is shaping up to be a scorcher across Germany, with temperatures nearly touching the 37°C mark in some southern regions on Sunday! However, prepare for a drop in mercury as early as Monday.
On Friday, skies will be clear over the south and southwest, making it the perfect day for hitting the beach. Anticipate temperatures soaring to around 30°C in the southwestern river valleys, while the rest of the south will see temperatures ranging from 25 to 28°C. The north will experience slightly cooler weather at approximately 20 to 24°C.
As we move into Saturday, expect a sunlit nationwide with only a smattering of cirrus clouds to briefly interrupt the radiant sky. Temperatures will nudge slightly higher compared to Friday.
Tropical heatwave on Saturday afternoon promises highs ranging from 25°C in Vorpommern to a blistering 33°C along the Rhine. In the valleys, temperatures are set to reach summery heights of around 30°C. Even the districts in the southwestern urban areas will remain above the 20°C mark over the weekend, barely dipping below this temperature.
The searing temperatures are expected to escalate on Sunday. Although the day will start sunny, scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop later. These may become severe in specific areas.
"The sweltering heat won't persist," predicts DWD meteorologist Nico Bauer. "Even though there's still some uncertainty, temperatures will likely increase further." For regions outside of coastal and high elevations, widespread temperatures above 30°C are on the cards, with the southwest river valleys teetering on the brink of 37°C.
"However, the intense heat won't persist," Bauer reassures. "Temperatures will drop significantly starting Monday."

Even though meteorologist Nico Bauer from the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts a significant drop in temperatures starting Monday, temperatures on Sunday in the Southwest, particularly the southwest river valleys, are expected to come close to the 37°C mark, as the Commission has also been consulted on the draft directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation.
While preparing for the searing weekend ahead in Offenbach, it is essential to remain cautious of the unusually high temperatures, especially on Sunday, coinciding with weather-forecasting predictions of possible severe thunderstorms in specific areas.
