Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin, is set to host a unique golf event this weekend, offering an innovative golfing experience for both Badger fans and golf enthusiasts. The event, known as Upper Deck Golf, will transform the iconic college football stadium into a 9-hole golf course for two days, August 1 and 2, 2025.
Golfers will tee off from the stadium's upper deck and aim for custom greens set up on the field below. The golf course will consist of nine separate hitting locations spread throughout the stadium, providing a challenging and memorable round within a famous sports venue.
Shane Burgess, the Assistant Athletic Director for Event Operations at Wisconsin Athletics, expressed his excitement about the event, stating, "Camp Randall is a historic stadium, and we are honored to be part of this unique golf experience."
The event offers a VIP atmosphere with a clubhouse festival featuring music, food, cold beers, and various golfing skill challenges such as closest to the pin and putting contests. Fans can upgrade to premium or VIP packages for additional perks, including free entry into other golf challenges and complimentary food and drink items.
Tee times for the Upper Deck Golf event will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on August 1 and 2, and will be offered in two-player groups. The event at Camp Randall is part of Upper Deck Golf's college tour, which brings the golfing experience to iconic stadiums and ballparks across the country.
Nick Bonner, from Upper Deck Golf, explained that the event will transform the entire stadium into a 9-hole golf course, with golf balls being hit down to unique angles onto the field with nine separate targets. Greens will be set up on the Camp Randall turf for the event, and golfers will play from elevated tee boxes overlooking the field.
A full walk around the stadium is offered behind the scenes for the event, providing fans with a unique opportunity to explore the legendary venue. The clubhouse festival area inside Camp Randall will offer fans a chance to relax and enjoy music, food, drinks, and multiple golfing challenges, making it a fun and exciting experience for all.
