In a three-part ARD production set to air in Berlin at the end of August, the life and tragic disappearance of Daniel Küblböck, known as Lana Kaiser, will be explored in a documentary titled "The Küblböck Story - Your Lana Kaiser."
Born in the Bavarian town of Eggenfelden, Küblböck rose to fame in 2003 when he finished third in the first season of the RTL casting show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar." However, his life took a turn in 2018 when he went missing from a cruise ship off Newfoundland, Canada.
The documentary series promises to provide new insights into Küblböck's life, offering a perspective from family, friends, and companions. It will also feature interviews with drag queen Olivia Jones, among others.
One of the most intriguing aspects of the documentary is a voice message, allegedly sent by Küblböck as Lana Kaiser to his ex-boyfriend Manuel Pilz, which is featured in the series.
